• Sweep and inspect the chimney.

• Install liner, woodstove, cap, and chase cover.

• Diagnose existing and potential chimney-related problems and explain chimney issues to clients.

• Complete and finalize all estimates or jobs using iFleet app on iPad.

• Supervise and train apprentices in how to perform their job duties.

• Lead team to work on a project.

• Maintain regular oil change, inspection, and necessary repair of a work truck.

• Must be CSIA certified.

• Must have knowledge of NFPA or NFI codes and clearances.

• Must be able to climb ladders with no fear of height.

• Must be comfortable working on roof and scaffolding.

• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• Must provide his/her own transportation to/from work

• Able to work long hours and in all weather temperatures (Ex. Heat, cold, rain, etc)

• Able to work under pressure and work well in a team environment.

• Possess great customer service.

• Tuck-point chimneys, tear down, and rebuild chimneys.

• Roof shingle replacement

• Replacement of lead flashing

• Build new crown • Stand and walk on scaffolding and ladders.

• Work off of a lift or boom truck.

• Demolition work on chimneys and fireplaces, clean up of debris.

• Visit the dumpsite periodically to unload debris.

• Work with brick, block, stone, mortar, cement, and other products.

• Assist Lead Chimney Tech or Lead Mason with his day-to-day job preparation including stocking up the van with supplies and equipment.

• Set-up and break down staging

• Heavy lifting

• Mix mortar

• Stand and walk on roof, scaffolding, and ladders.

• Clean out trucks, keep tools in order, clean up tools.

• Sweep chimneys

• Demolition work on chimneys and fireplaces, clean up of debris.

• Visit the dump site periodically to unload debris.

• Keep truck clean and organized

• Work with brick, block, stone, mortar, cement, and other products

Job requirements:

• Construction work experience preferred.

• Must be able to climb ladders with no fear of height.

• Must be comfortable working on roof and scaffolding.

• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• Must provide his/her own transportation to/from work

• Able to work long hours and in all weather temperatures (Ex. Heat, cold, rain, etc)

• Able to work under pressure and work well in a team environment.

• Desire to learn and grow.

• Safety and employee meeting attendance is required.

• Attendance at chimney sweep training school and certification testing will be required after the apprenticeship period. CCP certification testing will be required prior to obtaining CSIA certification.
